Does Cited guarantee my store appears in ChatGPT?

No. Nobody can. Cited makes your store easier for AI assistants to read and cite, and measures how often they mention you, so you can see whether it is working.

Will Cited change my theme?

Never. Structured data and FAQs use a theme app embed and app blocks you switch on in the theme editor, and switching them off removes them.

Does anything go live without me?

No. Drafted pages and posts are saved to Shopify unpublished, and product descriptions and FAQs change only when you approve them. Descriptions can be reverted.

What happens when I uninstall?

Shopify removes the app embed, app blocks, app metafields and the web pixel. Pages and posts you approved stay, because they are your content. If Instant Indexing was on, a redirect for its key file stays until you delete it under Online Store → Navigation → URL redirects. Our records for your store are deleted 48 hours after uninstall.
